I’m excited to share my +14 years of experience in leading volunteer-study abroad programs and I’ll be delighted to craft a customized volunteer program that allows you to explore and share your personal interests and passions while supporting our partners’ daily efforts to make life more empathetic.
While your engagement in a travel abroad experience may be brief, the true impact comes from the mutual exchange of experiences and perspectives. As a volunteer, you’ll be both a learner and a sharer, immersing yourself in a new culture, learning or practicing a new language, exchanging knowledge and stories, and contributing to collaborative projects.
This experience will provide an opportunity for both you and the communities you engage with, to introspect, share, discuss, and grow together.
Volunteer and study abroad for SLP's
Are you a practicing SLP or graduate student in the field of Speech-Language Pathology interested in providing better services to Spanish speakers and Spanish-English bilinguals?
You will learn from Ecuadorian and US professionals about assessing and treating Spanish-speaking and bilingual individuals while engaging with underserved populations. You will develop stronger clinical skills and cultural understanding to better serve children and adults for other languages and cultural backgrounds.
This program has been running since 2011 thanks to professor Christina Gildersleeve-Neumann at Portland State University in Oregon.

Traveling to volunteer in different aid experiences is a unique opportunity to understand the value and impact of teamwork. Volunteering is about giving some of your time or resources to support a greater good. Our focus for this period is human mobility, international and national due to different types of violence.
This program is running for the first time during September 2024 thanks to Professor Mamoru Fujita at Keio University in Tokyo.
